Folio, [4], 196 pages, plus a frontispiece and 94 illustrated plates. In Good minus condition. Bound in full red Morocco leather, rebacked with 20th century red buckram cloth. Blind and gilt tooling along the boards, edges and turn ins. Spine has gilt lettering. Boards have significant scuff marks and rubbing wear, and light plus soiling throughout. Significant chipping to edges, and moderate bumping to corners resulting in exposed boards. Textblock has an armorial bookplate on the front pastedown, and the bookplate of "Mrs. Samuel H. Hurd" on the first front free end page. Pencil annotations on the front free end pages, light plus age toning and foxing throughout, and light to moderate offsetting to pages preceding plates. Gilt edges. Contains "Directions to the Binder" on page 196. Shelved in Room A Oversized. Contains the five original plates, plus additional scare illustrated plates. Cromwelliana was published anonymously, but it is largely attributed to James Caulfield (1764 1826), an English author and printseller. 1396742. Special Collections. Seller Inventory # 1396742
