London 1875 first edition. Marcus Ward & Co. Hardcover. Sm.4to., 140pp., six bright and strong mounted chromolithograph illustrations on heavy stock, original brown cloth with bright gilt lettering, black decoration, mounted chromolithograph, bevelled board edges. These attractive illustrations were done by Kate Greenaway, but without any printed attribution. Lovely cover of deep brown cloth, gilt lettering, black decoration and a vertical panel of beautiful flowers in bright chromolithography. Owner signed (Louise Savage). light wear to corners and spine ends. Book is in unusually nice condition! VG plus. A beautiful copy! Pictures available on request.
