Familex Products Company was owned by a Canadian pharmaceutical company and there is B&W photo of the plant on page 1. Page 2 has colour illustration of one of their products, a Familex Ozonicide (an air deodorant) . Page 13 has colour photos of Familex Cinnamon, White Pepper and Black Pepper. Page 31 has colour illustrations of Salad Dressing Onion salt and Mustard. Page 71 has colour illustration of Food colouring, and Baking Powder. Page 84 has colour illus of Pie Filling, Creme Brulee, and Tapioca Dessert. Page 87 has colour illus of Vanilla, Imitation Maple, and Essence of Lemon. The recipes printed here in double columns per page make reference to Familex pepper, mustard, and other spices. As well there are small colour illus to some of the chapter headings.
