Book size about 5 1/2 by 7 inches with some 118 pages. Bound in pebbled green cloth with front cover and spine gilt lettering, illustration and decoration. Covers with beveled edges. All page edges treated by the publisher with a process that gives them the appearance of wood (I have never before encountered this). Blue/green end papers. 'With One Hundred Illustrations, by Arthur Lumley' (Full page and smaller). A fairy poem composed circa 1819 in the Hudson River vicinity by this early American poet who died at the age of 25. Very early American fairy tale. Early printing by this publisher. Book with light wear most noticeable at the spine top/bottom and tips; light scattered foxing more prevalent at the blank pages used at the front and rear. A nice copy of this very scarce book. VERY GOOD.
