The new work will serve fans of Cactus League teams, i.e., those in Arizona. There are extended lists of motels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. In contrast, Garrity gives his own favorite hotels, restaurants, and attractions, and those of writers and players, plus each area's ambiance, in a wry, photo-packed guide. Both books give directions, ticket information, and autograph chances. Valenti's book will serve fans of Cactus League teams. Garrity's is recommended for all sports collections.
