About the Author

Lesley Lababidi raised three children in Cairo and is the author of Cairo’s Street Stories: Exploring the City’s Statues, Squares, Bridges, Gardens, and Sidewalk Caf�s (AUC Press, 2008). Lisa Sabbahy is assistant professor of Egyptology at the American University in Cairo.
