Cal and His Amazing Attention Pie!

Let's stop asking kids to "pay attention" - and start asking, "What are you paying attention to?"

Cal and His Amazing Attention Pie! invites children, parents, and teachers to see focus in a whole new way.

When Cal presents his "Attention Pie" to the class, he shows that attention is not just one thing - it is made up of many spaces inside the brain. Some moments call for Body Space, others for Touch Space, Mind Space, or People Space.

Through Cal's story, kids learn to notice which space they are in-using the Attention Pie as a reference-to decide whether that space is helpful in the moment and discover ways to gently shift into a different type of space when they need to.

This playful and visually rich story helps children understand that different types of attention all have value-it is all about knowing when to be in which attention space.

This is a story that celebrates how we move, change, and grow-helping children and the adults who support them understand how to harness their amazing minds in meaningful ways.
