Calculus Deconstructed is a thorough and mathematically rigorous exposition of single-variable calculus for readers with some previous exposure to calculus techniques but not to methods of proof. This book is appropriate for a beginning Honors Calculus course assuming high school calculus or a "bridge course" using basica analysis to motivate and illustrate mathematical rigor. About the Author: Zbigniew Nitecki is a Professor of Mathematics at Tufts University, where he has been since 1972. Previously he was a Gibbs Instructor at Yale (1969–71) and Assistant Professor at CCNY (1971–2). He is a contributing editor for Real Analysis Exchange and an associate editor for Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems. His research interests are primarily in dynamical systems theory and he has published books and articles on the subject.
