This book consisting of eleven chapters. It covered variation problems with fixed boundaries, functionals depending on n unknown functions, functionals involving higher order derivatives, functionals depending on function of several variables, variational problems with movable boundaries, movable boundaries of functionals involving second order derivatives, variational functionals involving two dependent functions, extremum of variational problems with constraints and isoperimetric problems, Extremals with cusps and corners, one sided and mixed variational problems. Further in this book we also discussed weak minimum, weak maximum, strong minimum and strong maximum of functionals.
