About the Author

Professor Snyder has worked extensively with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and serves on the board of the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program. He is also a judge pro tempore in the Small Claims Division of the San Diego Municipal Court. He teaches in the areas of interviewing and counseling, negotiation, and trial skills. He is the co-author (with Professor Morris) of Mental Disorder in the Criminal Process (Greenwood Press).

He specializes in discrimination law, civil trial law, and civil rights history. Principal spokesperson for the Campaign to Defeat Proposition 209. Clerked for Chief Justice Rose Bird of the California Supreme Court. Worked as a civil rights prosecutor for the State of California. Serves on the board of directors and the litigation committees of the ACLU of Northern California, the Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, Equal Rights Advocates, and the American Jewish Congress, Pacific Northwest Region. Author of numerous law review articles in the field of discrimination law.
