Called Into Darkness is more than just a story about the supernatural. It confronts the disturbing reality of demonic infestation, oppression, and possession.

CALLED INTO DARKNESS is the true story of a couple brought together, healed, and restored by the grace of God in 2009 to enter the eternal war between good and evil. Through His sovereign plan, Chris and Harmony were being equipped step by step to help others not only in the physical world, but in the spiritual world as well.

Passing on the peace they receive from God to victims suffering under demonic influence is no easy feat. They will need every skill learned at their jobs combined with their faith, as they travel from home to home to battle Satan and his minions in the unseen realm of the supernatural.

Chris DeFlorio, a twenty-year NYPD veteran and FDNY paramedic, along with his wife Harmony, a former FDNY EMT, reveal what the true evil lurking in the darkness looks like. A truth many people would rather dismiss as folklore: the devil is real... and closer than you think.

Within the pages of this true account, readers will gain insight into how Chris DeFlorio approached cases involving alleged demonic activity and spiritual oppression. Drawing from his years as an NYPD police officer, decades of Christian ministry, and his work as a missionary to Africa, Chris applies careful investigative discipline and spiritual discernment to situations many would dismiss outright or immediately assume to be demonic.

As the narrative unfolds, readers witness how interviews with victims and witnesses were conducted, how mental health and psychological explanations were considered, and how signs of spiritual oppression and possession were identified. The story reveals the tactics the enemy uses to deceive and manipulate-and how faith, discernment, and investigative reasoning were used to confront the darkness.
