Everyone takes this journey called life; however, someday that journey must come to an end.

Everyone will experience grief in their lifetime, and everyone will face death—whether it’s walking a loved one through the dying process or facing it oneself. No one is alone in this journey. The question is, how do people face grief and grow from it? With the right knowledge and understanding of grief, people can work through it. Death does not have to be scary. It has become institutionalized; now it’s time to bring death back to being a natural part of life that everyone can face without fear.

In Called to Grieve, Rev. Tom Evans answers many questions people have about the roller coaster of dying and death, what heaven is like, and how to move through the grieving process to a place where people can live a fulfilled and happy life, unafraid of death.

He brings to light the need to grieve, not just for a death but also for other things in life. Based on his thirty-five years of ministry, Rev. Evans helps people understand the physical and spiritual death of the body so they can grieve their loss and move on to have a fulfilled journey on earth and in the hereafter. 

Rev. Tom Evans has spent over thirty-five years as a Lutheran pastor, where he focuses on working with people in hospice in their final stages of life. As a child, he was orphaned by the time he was fifteen. Because of his life experiences, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the dying and grieving processes. He frequently gets asked about heaven and what happens when people die. Through Called to Grieve, Rev. Evans wants to help people move past grief and have a fulfilled journey on earth and in the hereafter.
