Called by Prophecy Led by Experience: Volume one

Our strong Christian faith and the brutal, oppressive Apartheid era in South Africa form the context in which this book is set. This is due to Apartheid's pervasive presence in our daily lives before 1990, and the wide reaching effects of its aftermath in the post-Apartheid years. The enormous influence it had on almost every aspect of our childhood and early adulthood is second only to that of our belief in God and our Christian way of life. The Apartheid regime in South Africa to a great extent, shaped our lives and those of our parents, grandparents and ancestors as far back as we can recall. For those readers -- perhaps the younger ones, who are not fully aware of the key features of Apartheid, we have provided a brief overview but do encourage you to investigate the subject further.

Pastor Henry and Carol Jacobs are trusted friends of mine since we first met. For over four years we enjoyed a close association, and Henry Jacobs proved himself to be a man of perceptive thought with a wide knowledge of social, national, international and biblical issues. Henry Jacobs is one of those persons, exactly — whose heart is loyal to Him. My wife, Meipo, and I are grateful to have him and his wife Carol as true friends of ours in our ministry in the Wairarapa, New Zealand.
