Ben was raised and educated in Billings Montana. In 1951 he enlisted in the Airforce and spent the next four years in uniform during the Korean conflict. He spent most of his life in the construction industry and with his wife Olive raising their four children. Now that he's retired he can follow his dream to write. He has lots to draw from. His grand father was one of the first to ranch in south Texas. Fighting Indians and Boarder thieves to stay alive. His father carried a six gun from about age twelve, following in the footsteps of two of his older brothers who were professional gunslingers. His background is rich in actual western facts. Many of the incidents relived in this story came from real life.
