Charles Graybar began studying various meditation techniques. At first, his initial studies were under an aging Buddhist monk. Graybar understood from his own experiences that students of meditation that come from the west, due in part to the lifestyle challenges faced on a daily basis, would not be likely to respond most effectively to traditional eastern teachings of meditation. Due the ever-increasing demand for Graybar to teach his meditation techniques to a wide-ranging audience that spans corporate CEOs to postal workers to stay at home parents--all seeking to find meaningful levels of inner calm amidst the assaults of a daily existence in the world today, Graybar wrote Calm Amid Chaos.

About the Author
Charles Graybar started out studying physics and the other core sciences from a young age. In his early 20s he shifted his focus abd began a career in the media industry. By his late 30s he had progressed to the level of senior vice president for a Fortune 100 company and served on several corporate boards of directors. In 1993 Graybar withdrew from full-time corporate work to pursue studies in the non-religious spiritual realm and to further his study and practice of meditation. He is the author of a best selling book, Beyond the Broken Gate, a chronicle of the insights he discovered through the meditative process he discovered in 1993. In addition to writing and lecturing worldwide about his spiritual explorations and insights, Graybar raises horses, teaches meditation to corporate executives as well as non-executives and still consults on occasion to boards of directors of corporations and not-for-profit organizations.
