Behind the mask of Hungarian Communism on the eve of the revolution. This is a novel of the 24 hours in the life of a small Hungarian town three years before the tragic uprising of 1956. The author, who lived in Paris, was a Hungarian refugee who fled his home in Hungary after the 1956 revolution. The dust cover is ripped across the top and a portion is missing. The maroon cloth boards are in very good condition, with gilt lettering. There is some foxing on the page edges, but the pages themselves are clean and in good condition.
