Hardback, Dustjacket. Both in Fine condition. Not inscribed. 208 Pages. Fully illustrated throughout. The author first travelled on the Cambrian in 1921 when the Abermule disaster was still casting its shadow. In susequent visits over seven dacades every line and branch has been studied, and the main line observed in all its splendour of summer working in the 1930's when it seemed that double-headed tains passed each other in every loop. Now there is little left, but the celebration in October 1992 of the 125th anniversary of the completion of the Coast Line is a triumph against odds.
