Someone Came Knocking

Tod, a boy with no memories of the past and enduring a brutal present finds a chance to escape. But he is unsure of where he might go and what might happen to him. A destination "over the hills and far away" slowly takes shape in his mind and from this point the reader is irresistably drawn into Tod's world, into the eventful journey and into the fragmentary and painful recollections of a lost past. The sensitive relationship that grows between the older girl Legs and Tod, the enigma of his companion Mim, the adventures of the journey, all make for an intense and rich first novel.
