CAMERA & LENS, 1- Areas of varnish on the cloth front and back boards are degraded showing fabric threads. There are two small holes on the lower edge and a dent on the upper edge. The back board has a small hole at the lower edge and area rubbed to cloth. The spine is darkened and the crown is worn and the material has a half inch tear. The base shows moderate shelf wear. The endpapers have moderate foxing, and there is a sticker on the back endpaper from a previous bookseller. The spine is cracked at the title page. First Edition, 1948. The NEGATIVE, 2 – The front and back boards are degraded from age with two stains and a scratch on the front board. The upper edge shows dirt and the lower edge has shelf wear. The spine is darkened and is tight with minor wear at the crown and base. The back board has two minor stains and a slightly scraped area along the spine. There are also minor stains and foxing on the front endpaper and several varied size holes at the spine. One tiny hole goes through about 8 pages. A line of insect damage appears in the back pasted down endpaper and carries through as small holes through about 20 pages inward. There is a sticker on the back endpaper from a previous bookseller. First Edition, 1948. The PRINT, 3 - The front and back boards are degraded from age and have a rubbed appearance. There are two moderate stains and one minor dent There is a dent on the upper edge and worn area of the fore edge. The back board has two moderate scratches and a stained area. The spine is darkened and tight with minor wear at the crown and base. There is moderate foxing on both the front and back endpapers, and a sticker on the back endpaper from a previous bookseller. First Edition, 1950. NATURAL-LIGHT Photography, 4 – There is a crease at the top of the board cover, and a dent on the lower edge of the spine. The corners of the front and back boards show wear. The board edges appear slightly dirty. The spine is tight but shows wear at the crown and shelf wear at the bottom. There is also wear along the back edge of the spine. Both the front and back endpapers have foxing. Two very small stains dot the lower page edge. 1952. -- Interior pages of all 4 books are unmarked but slightly discolored from aging. The page edges are also slightly discolored by age. Please see all photos. -- Ansel Adams’ “Photography Series” offer comprehensive instructions on photo-taking composition, technique and print development using his technical approach called the Zone System. This series attempts a fundamental understanding and applications of photographic methods to practical problems of artistic expression. Our mission is to strengthen the Kailua-Kona and Kealakekua communities by enhancing library services and programs to improve literacy. Only 38% of elementary students in our community read at grade level. FOLK is working to change that by funding literacy programs and presentations that complement what children learn in the classroom. Every book purchased on this site helps support these efforts at our two libraries. We hold monthly book sales events, and this store is where we offer our high value books.…
