Quarter bound in modern calf with five raised bands to spine with two black morocco title plates with gilt lettering. Green heavy cloth to remainder of boards. Endpapers renewed and now marbled. Fore and lower page edges have been left untrimmed. Upper edge of several pages have been left uncut. Text-blocks are tight and in very good condition. Various pages are toned, mainly to the margins. Heavy set at 4.25kg, additional postage fee will be required. Texte français. I-Quatre Bras, portrait en noir et blanc, xxxii, 548 p. II-Waterloo, portrait en noir et blanc, vi, 496 p. III-Annexes et notes, xii, 578 p. Cartes-Comprend 13 cartes dépliantes, comme demandé. Reliure in-1/2 en veau moderne, dos à cinq nerfs, avec deux plats de titre en maroquin noir à lettres dorées. Les autres plats sont recouverts de toile épaisse verte. Les gardes ont été renouvelées et sont maintenant marbrées. Les tranches des pages avant et inférieures sont restées non rognées. Le bord supérieur de plusieurs pages est resté intact. Les blocs de texte sont serrés et en très bon état. Plusieurs pages sont patinées, principalement dans les marges. We aim is to supply books in the condition described and seek to describe any imperfections. It should be noted that all books are pre-owned, often of significant age and have lived a life of extensive use, few are in perfect condition. Whilst we do try to describe fully we recommend that with the more expensive books that further questions are asked and photographs are sought, you will usually see more than one photograph included in our listing, especially for the more valuable books. For delivery we use purpose made book packaging and are careful to pack correctly. We will do our best to post promptly, usually within a couple of working days of the receipt of your order, if concerned feel free to contact us. For national orders we usually use courier delivery as we find delivery more reliable than other forms, for international deliveries we seek a balance between speed and safety, we are happy to discuss this with you prior to sending if you wish. If on receipt you are not happy with the book then we will be happy to discuss and if necessary to take the book back, providing of course it is in the condition that it was sent out. Our postage costs are based upon the average weight of an octavo sized book and packaging (roughly 1kg), if the book weighs significantly more than this then we may contact you to ask for additional postage fees. All of our books are packaged in purpose made book packaging and are carefully wrapped to give the book the best chance of arriving in the condition that it was sent out in.
