Campus Pursuit : Making the Most of Your Visit and Interview : 2002-2003 (Campus Pursuit)

Author Gary Ripple, having conducted thousands of college interviews as a Dean of Admission, gives students a crash course in productive college visits, and using their entrance interviews to up their admission chances. "You can't buy shows through the mail, and so it goes with colleges," warns Ripple. "There is just no way to shop for a four year, $120,000 college education by looking at catalogues (or Web sites) produced by institutions themselves...creative photographers can make any campus look like the Taj Mahal." Campus Pursuit encourages students to visit colleges in person before making a final choice, tells them what they should look for during their visit, and helps them ace the college interview. Ripple even lets them know what the admission committee might say about them when the interview is over!
