Schwind Canadian Human Resource Management: A Strategic Approach 11e continues to focus on the strategic contribution of the human resource function in organizations. Schwind presents key concepts, issues, and practices of HR without being encyclopedic. The balanced coverage of theory and practice, traditional materials, and emerging concerns, has made Schwind the choice of over 60 universities and colleges across Canada and has earned it the honour of being the best-selling human resource management text in the country.
So, how do you make Schwind even better. Listen, Refresh, Update, Technology
Listened to our customers who have made recommendations. Recommendations such as more emphasis on "how to do it" discussions and then incorporate this in almost every chapter.
Refresh New co-lead author, respected researcher Dr. Krista Uggerslev from NAIT, has an extensive background in research related to employee recruitment, talent management and leadership, and demographic and economic changes in Canada and has brought her expertise to those related chapters.
Update Chapters have been streamlined and organized for easier reading and retention of materials. The latest information on legislative changes in the area of employment equity, statistics and demographics has been added. New work options for employees, the impact of international trade and managing international staff are just a few of the HR areas that have been updated.
Technology Connect makes digital teaching and learning personal, easy, and effective for both instructors and students. Connect includes SmartBook, the adaptive reading and study experience that makes study time productive and efficient.
