31 pp. Frontis photo of Eugen Goldstein. Illus with figures. Very scarce, printed by Current Science magazine in 1937 with essays on the state of the art science of canal rays (the discovery of which led to the discovery of isotopes). Contributors include Venkatesachar, Heinrich Freiherr Rausch von Traubenberg; Dr. R. Dopel; Dr. B. Dasannacharya; Dr. Rudolf Ritschl; Dr. E. Ruchardt; Dr. F.W. Aston; Dr. J.D. Cockcroft, with a short essay on Eugen Goldstein (1850-1930). Library buckram blue cloth binding is shelf worn and a bit faded, spine gilt is bright. Library stamps and pocket (for some reason, the library classified it under Zoology!), frontis tissue guard is ripped, paper generally bit browned but otherwise clean and unmarked. ; Ex-Library; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
