So, You Have Cancer...

"Have you ever had to put on a brave face to save others from how you really feel? Unfortunately, I've had to too many times."

The author wrote this book of poems as she experienced cancer in her early 20s. She shares the truth of experiencing a Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis: the good, the bad, and the can-you-believe-it's-a-happy-ending!

Her unexpected journey included:

• a burst appendix
• an appendectomy
• the cancer diagnosis
• fertility treatments / surgery
• chemotherapy
• lots of headaches
• lots of learning
• lots of love
• freedom

What she learned from it all:

Your strength comes from the storms you walk through in life. No rain, no flowers.

Christina Repetti was in her early twenties when her appendix burst, which was a minor issue compared to what the doctors found when they operated. Christina wrote this book of poems after she had experienced the ugly truth of her non-Hodgkins lymphoma diagnosis. Cancer is a storm no one should have to fight.
