In the second half of Canyon Ranch’s existence I have been their medical director and I have continued their philosophy of getting people healthier. The book continues to look at medical goals, not just goals in pounds lost, but also goals that are associated with improved health.

About the Author

Stephen C. Brewer, MD, ABFM, is the Medical Director at Canyon Ranch Wellness Resorts in Tucson, Arizona. He was an associate fel­low in the Integrative Medicine Pro­gram at the University of Arizona where he studied under the direc­tion of Dr. Andrew Weil. He was trained and certified in acupuncture at UCLA and is certified in guided imagery. His areas of special expertise include family medicine, integrative medicine, medical acupuncture, fibromyalgia, central sen­sitization, preventative medicine, and men's health. Dr. Brewer is also the author of The Canyon Ranch Guide to Men's Health. Jeff Kuster is the CEO of the Canyon Ranch organization.
