This colorful narrative written during the Depression is filled to the brim with history, shipwreck stories, tall tales, and local characters like the Witch of Billingsgate in Wellfleet and Josh Northrup of Orleans, the last municipal lamp lighter on the Cape. A wonderful book for anyone who has long loved the beauty and history of old Cape Cod.
