Cape Cod Visions of a Landscape

Through a dialogue of fine art photography and experiential essays, Cape Cod: Visions of a Landscape uncovers the secrets of a vanishing environment flourishing with natural beauty. Featuring an introduction by the naturalist Brian Cassie, the book is referenced with a complete black and white thumbnail that has detailed explanations of how, where, and why each photo was made. This stunning collection of photographs invites both the local native and conscious tourist to rediscover the natural and delicate environment that draws over five million people per year.

Brian Robert Smestad lived his formative years in New England. Drawn to the art of photography at the age of thirteen, he continues to explore and interpret the voice of nature through the lens of his camera. His pictures reflect the hope, idealism, and fresh outlook on life that he embodies. As this book goes to print, Brian--now twenty-two-retains the positive aspects of his first collection while continuing his photographic work with increasing growth and change as an artist.
