Internally fine (with gentle tanning and (very) minor handling showing to both page blocks). Unclipped dust jackets. Sparse chipping and nicks to both jackets, concentrated principally to the spine ends, and with some incidental rubbing- and shelf-marks. (Both jackets are now protected beneath archival covers.) Black cloth with bright gilt titling to the spines. The boards remain clean and sharp, with no conspicuous marks or bumps. Volume One: xxxv, 548pp; Volume Two: vii, pp.551-929pp. A complete set, handsome for its age, and enhanced by the addition of Professor Cole's excellent Introduction.
