About the Author
Susan Zimmer's personal and professional relationship with coffee spans more than 30 years. She inherited her coffee culinary vision in European restaurant kitchens, where she spent much of her childhood. Zimmer demonstrates her innovative approach to the latest coffee recipes, educational tips, and techniques on television and at professional trade shows across the country. Coffee has since always been a part of the banquet of her life. After Zimmer graduated from the "school of hard knocks", her BEAN-there experience filters from working for world-leading coffee and espresso manufacturers in many capacities and created/customized coffee menu programs for food-service/restaurant arenas. (She found that there were a lot of perks to selling coffee - what she couldn't sell - she drank!) In 1996, she decided to begin her own coffee business of importing/distributing premium Italian espresso coffees and quality espresso/cappuccino machines. In 1997, to brew up more business, she created a cappuccino menu concept and called it "Cappuccino Cocktails"! In 1999, Zimmer then decided to write a coffee book in order to share her wonderful coffee flavors with everyone. After 2-plus years of self-publishing she took her collection of hot, iced and festive coffee recipes; a few cups of her innovative coffee chapters; a handful of tips; unique techniques & tricks; sprinkled it all with java jokes and coffee quotes - voila! Cappuccino Cocktails-Specialty Coffee Recipe book was born! (Not to mention that while writing the coffee book she gulped down 833 cups of coffee, 244 of which were made from her espresso stove-top maker, 133 French-pressed, and the rest from her faithful filter-drip kitchen rooster!) Zimmer continues her writing (and drinking coffee) passions from her home in Calgary Canada.
