In a larger sense, this is also a novel about how the New South, with its booming economy and newly minted cities, is stamping out the Old South, losing in the process a sense of tradition and identity.

About the Author
Robert Inman is also the author of the acclaimed novels Home Fires Burning, Old Dogs and Children, and Dairy Queen Days. For 25 years he was the TV anchorman on the number one station in Charlotte. He lives in Charlotte and Boone, North Carolina.
