Captain Tully and the Rival of the Sky

Captain Tully and the Rival of the Sky

by Michael J. Citak

The epic sequel to Old Man of the Sea

The sky has its secrets—and so do old friends.

Captain Tully and his crew return in this soaring, whimsical sequel to Old Man of the Sea, where the winds howl with unfinished business and forgotten rivalries come home to roost. When a flamboyant, influencer seagull named Waffles—complete with monocle and manager owl—crash-lands on The New Starling, he brings more than just feathers and fanfare. He brings history.

At the heart of it all: Crackers, the grumpy but loyal bird from Tully’s original crew, and a long-buried fallout with Waffles that once ended in disaster, shame, and a blimp full of biscuits.

What begins as a comedic grudge match in the skies turns into a high-flying journey of redemption, vulnerability, and rediscovery. As a mysterious Sky Shell vanishes and an ancient power awakens, the crew must face not only aerial duels and glittering chaos—but the truth of what was lost, and what can still be healed.

Packed with offbeat humor, lyrical heart, and worldbuilding as rich as the wind is wide, Captain Tully and the Rival of the Sky deepens the mythos begun in Old Man of the Sea while standing tall as its own unforgettable adventure.

Perfect for readers who believe that old wounds can fly again—and that sometimes, the real storms are the ones we carry inside.
