About this title

Synopsis

"The ultimate guide to decarbonize your life - personally and professionally."

“The Carbon Creed is a powerful and thought-provoking work. Change happens when your heart and mind believes in a cause….for me that’s enabling access to clean energy and digital as a basic human right. This book will help you discover your carbon truth.”

– Elizabeth Hackenson, Chief Information Officer, Schneider Electric

“Walter McLeod has written the right book for this moment in our evolving clean energy economy. The masterful framework presented in The Carbon Creed is certain to help individuals and organizations reach their climate nirvana and walk the way of decarbonization.”

– Jigar Shah, Director Loan Programs Office, U.S. Department of Energy

“The Carbon Creed aligns the principles and values that awaken your subconscious mind to address the most significant challenge facing society - climate change! The ethical and spiritual undertones in the book set guideposts to make a sustained difference.”

– David Owens, Senior Energy Industry Executive and Advocate

The Carbon Creed is not a book about the science of climate change, nor is it a policy brief. It’s not meant to scare you, though some data might. It is written to take you on a journey through the climate narratives nestled in your head and heart.

The book is based upon the seven (7) affirmations of the Carbon Creed:

• Ethics
• Mindset
• Kinship
• Science
• Habits
• Accountability
• Equity

The Carbon Creed will help you identify and adopt the beliefs, values, and practices that lead to decarbonization. As you read and meditate on the principles of the creed, your carbon conscience will emerge.

These organic forms, inspired by waterdrops, intersect and flow together to demonstrate the connected nature of our beliefs and actions with the environment. It invites you to consider your carbon truth.
