By the time that heart problems are detected, the underlying cause is usually quite advanced, having progressed for decades. There is therefore increased emphasis on preventing atherosclerosis by modifying risk factors, such as healthy eating, exercise and avoidance of smoking.

About the Author

Rajesh Mandade has obtained his M. Pharmacy degree in Pharmacology from SRM University, Chennai, India in the year 2007. At present he is working as Assistant professor at Sudhakarrao Naik Institute of Pharmacy, Pusad. He is author for two books published by LAP. He has published several articles in reputed journals.
