AGATHA CHRISTIE - CARDS ON THE TABLE, published by Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1936, circa 1939/1940 First Printing thus (Dodd Mead sold the printing plates to Grosset & Dunlap - based upon the "Madison Square" references to the rear panel and no WWII conditions notices on the title page), off-white endpapers, black cloth boards with orange lettering to spine & front panel (same size/thickness/board formatting as on the Dodd Mead 1st edition). Book has no creased page corners (poor paper quality), no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers or outer page edges, slight age darkening/dust soiling to outer page edges, no wear to board edges or board corner or to spine tips, no spine darkening, no rubbing to spine lettering, no dust/handling soiling to boards & spine, no bumped board corners. Dust jacket has sliver losses at spine tips otherwise no chipping, tearing or creasing, wear to spine tips, hint of wear to front flap crease (nick losses at flap crease corners), hint of edge wear, hint of color wear to left/right of spine, almost no color rubbing to front panel, slight dust rubbing to white rear panel, no soiling or staining, slight spine sun fading. Overall a N-FINE book in VG+/FINE- condition dust jacket (not price clipped) of rare late 1930s era Agatha Christie printing book with original dust jacket.
