Beginning his artistic carrier after a short stint in teaching philosophy on the university level, Patrick began working in the art of patination at an art foundry in Loveland, Colorado, where he developed many patina concepts and artistic techniques that are now used around the world today. Patrick presently lectures and demonstrates the art of patinas both nationally as well as internationally, at major institutes of art in the academic as well as private sectors. He also maintains his patina and conservation studio in Loveland, Colorado, where on occasion, he still gives workshops that, in the past have drawn people from all over the world.
