Career Switch (Paperback)

Paperback. Career Switch offers readers a totally new kind of career guidance book; one that readers might compare to having coffee with a good friend. It is aimed at women over thirty-five who have just been laid off, who have spent many years out of the workforce raising kids, who have put aside work they care about in exchange for a steady paycheck, or who just want to do work they don't think of as drudgery. At the very least, this book is certain to give the reader a little thrill at the thought that it's never too late to drop into the kind of career and work she truly cares about. A delightful combination of personal essay and writing exercises, Ward asks of herself and her readers these deceptively simple questions: -What will you never tire of? -What will you keep doing until the day you die because it's as natural for you as breathing and as joyful as play? -Who can you not help but be? -What can you not help but do?
