My Career, My Way!

Young adults today face a career challenge, unlike any other generation in the past. Research shows that about half of the graduates in India are not job ready. This is a result of our somewhat outdated and pedantic system of education with a high focus on memory and marks, while most careers demand application of concepts and practical problem-solving skills. For those who are on the cusp of embarking on their careers, or thinking about what career they should be aspiring to, this is a painful situation for which they are underprepared.

This is a “catch 22” situation. The career market place is being disrupted and is in a state of flux. Those of us who are experienced are not always equipped to help. One way we can address this is to empower you, our youth, with a framework of tools to help you think about this yourself in a manner that is specific to you as an individual. In other words, we move from advice - a prescriptive model - to a data driven, analytical framework. This book is an attempt to do this.

The content is based on the author’s reflections and experience of almost twenty-five years of enabling and empowering people to succeed across multiple roles and companies.
