About this Item
A smartly bound collection of poetical lessons from Latin neoteric poet Gaius Valerius Catullus, in the original Latin. Latin. Scarce edition. An anthology of poems with a variety of lessons, in a range of lengths, set in six sections: Natalis, Aldina, Muretina, Scaligeriana, Vossio-Brouckhousiana, and Vulpiana. Written by Gaius Valerius Catullus, a Latin neoteric poet of the late Roman Republic whose surviving works remain widely read due to their popularity as teaching tools and because of their personal or sexually explicit themes. Bound in full calf. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Minor age toning to the endpapers and a light tide mark to the title page. School prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 913T59
