Faint duplicate stamp and signum on titlepage. Worn at head of spine. Name on ffep. Frederik Grünfeld. 20 x 12 cm. *Frederik Christian Henrik Grünfeld, 29.11.1845-17.3.1911, læge. Foruden i lægekunsten var han stærkt interesseret i den græske og latinske litteratur, havde altid en lille græsk eller latinsk klassiker i sin lomme, og kort før sin død fuldendte han en oversættelse af dele af Hippokrates' skrifter og syslede med en oversættelse af Aretæos. Han samlede sig i årenes løb et stort og meget værdifuldt medicinsk bibliotek med mange sjældne gamle værker, som han testamenterede til Skt. Johannesstiftelsen (nuv. Nørre hospital); det findes nu i Kbh.s universitets medicin-historiske museum.[#\103756].
