A Carousel For Shade Tree

Ever since Funland closed and the highway relocated, Shade Tree has been a community in decline, with businesses closing and home prices falling.

When Shade Tree native, widower Gus Stewart, sees a wooden horse on television, it reminds him of the carousel where he proposed to Wendy. The amusement park shut down long ago, but the memory of the beautiful girl on the carousel horse ignites his desire to find the hand-carved figure as a link to his late wife.

Locating the long-lost carousel may be what Gus and Shade Tree need to revive again. But not everyone agrees. Even his daughter wants him to forget this ridiculous project and move away from Shade Tree. As obstacles mount, Gus and the members of his grief group are determined to find and restore the missing pieces of the past.
