Tooley. The Mapping of America, #40. Schwartz & Ehrenberg. The Mapping of America, plate 80 (original edition). Karpinski, p118., XXXI (original edition). This is a reissue of the original edition of 1703, with the Buache imprint in the lower left corner, and the revised address for de l'Isle. As such, it still retains Lahontan's imaginary geography west of the Mississippi and has Lake Winnipeg connecting with Hudson's Bay. - The hand coloured cartouche is a fine example of the art.
