John Murray. London. 1950. 320 pages. Fine binding. Finely bound in green leather and marble boards. Stamped in gilt with 5 raised bands on spine. Binding and hinges are strong; book is tight. Evenly sunned leather on spine. Light rubbing along edges. Endpapers are clean and bright; with one small faint blemish. Old cloud-like stain on half-title page; and following two pages; lessened with each subsequent page. Half-title page and last page show age-toning. A total of 5 specks of foxing to foredge. An attractive and well-crafted fine binding of the classic title.
