About the Authors

Erle Stanley Gardner (1889-1970) was a prolific American author best known for his Perry Mason novels, which sold twenty thousand copies a day in the mid-1950s. There have been six motion pictures based on his work and the hugely popular Perry Mason television series starring Raymond Burr, which aired for nine years.

Alexander Cendese has appeared in films such as Garden Party and Greetings from the Shore, and on TV in Body of Proof, Law and Order, The Gamekillers, One Life to Live, and The Bedford Diaries. His theater credits include A View From the Bridge on Broadway. Alexander is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and lives in New York City.
