Rebecca Nthogo Lekoko is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Department of Adult Education of the University of Botswana. She holds a Doctor of Education (D. Ed.) from Pennsylvania State University, United States of America. The focus of her teaching, research and community service is capacity building tapping from diverse areas such as community development or empowerment and the economic empowerment curriculum. Her interest in these areas heightened with years of teaching and professional engagement. She has published extensively around these areas and some of her major works are with publishers like Pearson, South Africa; Heinemann, Botswana and Macmillan, South Africa. Her journals articles also spread across continents.
Ladislaus M. Semali is Professor of Education at the Pennsylvania State University, in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems. Academically, he specializes in adult literacy education, comparative and international education and non-Western place-based educational epistemologies. He has published extensively and with renowned sources such as International Review of Education, Journal of Social Anthropology and Comparative Education Review. He is author of Literacy in Multimedia America (Routledge/Falmer), Postliteracy in the Age of Democracy (Austin & Winfield) and editor of What is Indigenous Knowledge? Voices from the Academy with Joe Kincheloe (Garland).
