A little girl falls asleep just as her cat wakes up. Children will experience the world through the cat's eyes, ears, nose, whiskers, and feet as he travels the neighborhood, meeting up with other nocturnal creatures. Skunks, mice, raccoons and opossums are just a few of the animals the cat encounters during his nightly patrol. As dawn breaks, the cat returns to the girl’s bedside. The girl wakes up just as her cat falls asleep.

Madeleine Dunphy is an educational consultant who specializes in writing and teaching about nature. Joshua S. Brunet received his BS in illustration from Indiana Wesleyan University and his MFA in illustration from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. He has been a freelance illustrator for more than 15 years and has worked for a variety of magazines and children's book publishers. Josh is married with four children and currently resides in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he is an Assistant Professor of Art at Oklahoma Baptist University.
