Dr. Chivvis is an internship-trained emergency veterinarian, author, homeschool mom, and indie publisher who focuses on bridging veterinary medicine, education, and storytelling. She blends clinical experience with narrative to make veterinary topics more understandable outside the exam room. Her children's picture book What's Wrong with Tom? launched in August 2025, with her second children's book, What Did Libby Do?, projected for August 2026. Her children's stories combine education with imagination and compassion, weaving in social-emotional themes to help young readers understand health, empathy, and the veterinary experience in an age-appropriate way.
