Synopsis
The Cat Who Loved Dogs is a true story of love, loss and resilience. Hillary, a cunning Siamese mix kitten, joins the household of a writer and her two cats. It is not, however, until a dog joins the family that the cat is truly happy. When her dog suddenly disappears from her life, Hillary sets out to find a replacement... with unexpected consequences for the people whose lives she touches in the process.
From the Author
Unlike most vocations, writing is not work you can turn off at will. Once the project starts, the process takes over. The book or script takes shape consciously and unconsciously; ideas whirl around in your head, sometimes hanging there frustratingly just out of reach, sometimes crystalizing at an inopportune time--which is why writers are not always the most sociable people to be around when they are working. My anchors over the years have been the dogs and cats that have shared my life. No matter how moody I got in the midst of an assignment-- or absentminded, they were always there for me with unconditional love. And somehow, when I most needed it, they seemed to know just what to do to ease my stress and make me smile. Hillary, the dog-loving, Siamese-mix heroine of this little memoire was especially good at this. Even today, when I think of the brief time she shared my life, and the remarkable feat she accomplished after she left me...I still smile. And I am pretty sure you will too when you read her story.
