The Known World commenced life as Buninyong Books in the historic township of Buninyong in 2001. In 2008 we moved to Ballarat and adopted our new name, The Known World Bookshop. Following eight years' trading in Ballarat, we enjoyed a short country idyll in the beautiful (but quiet!) township of Linton.
