8vo. xvi, 556 pages, prices realized bound at back as pp. 541-556. Contemporary reddish-brown half morocco, marbled boards, top edges gilt. 2687 items, catalogued by Joseph Sabin at the collector's home in Chicago and sold in New York: "Since the Rice collection was well known, such important Americana collectors as William Menzies, Edward Asay, and George Brinley were on hand to vie for rarities. With a return of more than $42,000, the Rice sale was one of the most profitable held in the United States up to that time" (Dickinson, 'Dictionary of American Book Collectors', p. 268). Some rubbing to binding.

All purchases are shipped subject to approval, and we will accept returns if notified within 30 days of receipt for any reason. Please e-mail orders@riverrunbooks.com or call (914) 478-1339 to initiate your return. In your e-mail, please include your name, item(s), and reason for return.
We will confirm your return upon receipt and issue a refund or credit / exchange within approximately 48 hours. Please allow for ten business days for returns to be reflected on your credit card statement.
New York State residents must pay the appropriate sales tax. We will notify you after your order of any additional charges owed.
Overseas orders should specify shipping preference.
All postage is extra.

Shipping terms
Basic shipping in the US is via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping is via USPS Priority Shipping or FedEx. We are happy to quote other rates if you prefer different carriers or service. Books are carefully packed and shipped to insure protection of the books. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
