Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. xxxii, 735p. Third edition. Probably the best known of the German 18th century bibliographical compilations based on mainly on catalogues of private libraries. Taylor p42-43. Peignot p391 'Ouvrage estimee'. Ebert #23859 principally focuses on its historical value. Bound in early 20th century paste boards with untrimmed edges. Contemporary signature of Gleditsch on the front titlepage. Could this be an early member of the German publishing house? Internally a clean fresh copy.
